Tire pressure is one of the easiest variables for a motorcycle to change. Regular adjustment of tire pressure is absolutely profitable and harmless, but most riders often ignore the importance of tire pressure.
1. Check tire pressure frequently
If your car’s daily riding environment is on a relatively stable road and rainy days, it is recommended that you check the tire pressure once a week. Conversely, if you often travel on mixed sand and gravel roads, it is best to check the tire pressure every other day to two days.
2. Check the basic tire pressure
When a vehicle is running, the air pressure inside the tire will increase with the surface temperature of the tire, and the air in the tire will expand, which will cause the tire pressure to be too high. If it is serious, it will cause a tire blowout. Therefore, it is extremely important to properly check the base tire pressure. At the same time, we also recommend that you check the base tire pressure when the car is cold to avoid temperature rise and affect tire pressure.
3. Bring your own high-quality tire pressure gauge
Because the tire pressure will directly affect the tire contact area, distortion, and tire temperature, keeping a tire pressure gauge can help you check the tire pressure value of your car at all times.
4. Control the normal tire pressure
Low tire pressure can increase the grip of the tire. On the contrary, too low tire pressure will cause the tire to understeer and wear out too quickly, and cornering will also appear more difficult. On the contrary, high tire pressure can increase the sensitivity of the vehicle. On the contrary, excessive tire pressure will weaken the grip and increase the load of the front and rear shock absorbers, making the vehicle more prone to bounce. If the tire pressure is too high or too low, it may cause a puncture accident. Therefore, it is extremely important to control the normal tire pressure of the tire.
5. Change tire pressure according to driving situation
Due to different driving conditions, tires also require different tire pressure values.
Highway: When driving on a smooth road, the normal tire pressure can be maintained. Too low tire pressure may cause understeer of the vehicle.
Off-road: Lowering the tire pressure allows the tire to gain more grip, and it can also prevent sharp objects from puncturing the tire.
